PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet recording method for forming an image having a high image density, a good color tone and a fine gradation representation and a gradation improving method for black image by solving the problem of color tone at a highlight part occurring when an image having a high image density, especially a high translucent image density on a translucent material, is produced by ink jet recording method using a pigment ink. SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording method for forming an image having a plurality of gradations on a recording medium by imparting a plurality of inks thereto through ink jet method, each ink forms an image on a translucent image recording medium independently while satisfying a relationship (a*<2> +b*<2> )<1/2> <=15, where a* and b* are values being determined by measuring CLIELAB on a single path. |
