PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive capable of reproducing a card-shaped optical disk. SOLUTION: A supporting surface G is formed so as capable of mounting the card-shaped optical disk 120 on a tray 100 existing at both sides of a mobile axis Y of an optical pickup by taking notice to the property that the horizontal driving is made by the optical pickup in accordance with the mobile axis Y, and by means of forming the data recording surface on the card-shaped optical disk 120 so that a center axis of the data recording surface of the card-shaped optical disk 120 is parallel to the mobile axis Y, the data are reproduced by only the transfer of the optical pickup without driving a spindle motor. Thus, the card-shaped optical disk with the simple shape is reproduced by a general optical disk reproducing drive. |
