摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new peptide fragment having specific amino acid sequences and having mammalian D2 dopamine receptor activity, useful in e.g. diagnosing neuropathy such as schizothymia, and specifying the antigen determinant for mammalian D2 dopamine receptor. SOLUTION: This new fragment for mammalian D, dopamine receptor is such one as to have an amino acid sequence of formula T or formula II or an amino acid sequence wherein amino acid residues 242 to 270 are deleted from the above-mentioned amino acid sequence and also the amino acid residue 271. is substituted with an aspartic acid residue, an amino acid sequence specifying the 3rd cytoplasm loop, and an amino acid sequence specifying the antigen determinant for the mammalian D2 dopamine receptor; therefore, this new fragment is useful in e.g. diagnosing or characterizing morbid symptoms such as schizothymia associated with dopamine receptor, and the corresponding nucleic acid is usable as e.g. a nucleic acid hybridization probe for detecting the presence of the nucleic acid sequence of the mammalian D2 dopamine receptor.
