PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically convert musical instrument performance information on which plural pieces of channel data are described so as to fit a musical instrument which can reproduce only channel information that is less than the number of channels by detecting a section having no phrase of a channel and automatically shifting the phase of another channel. SOLUTION: A MIDI file is read (S101) and next, a track window is displayed (S102). Next, voice except channel elimination, etc., is reduced and after tone conversion (S103) is carried out, the device shifted to a channel elimination mode (S104). And, the phrase of each channel and a section having no phrase of each channel are detected from sound source performance information about which plural performance channels respectively have plural phrases (S105). The other channels are eliminated (S108) by a shifting phrases of the other channels which are located at the same position with a section and also are shorter than the section to the section having no phrase of the detected channel. |
