<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the material cost of a branch pipe for use in a water pressure pipeline, etc., of a hydraulic power plant, by making small the size of a crescent reinforcing member furnished in the branching part. SOLUTION: Large diameter shells 2d and 3d of branch pipes 2 and 3 at joining parts with a main pipe 1 are formed by joining two members of branch pipe side shell pieces 2d1 and 3d1 with main pipe side shell pieces 2d2 and 3dS2 at their joining parts 10 and 11, and a crescent reinforcing member 8 is installed inside the intersecting part 6 of the shell pieces 2d1 and 3d1 , and the two ends of this reinforcing member 8 are allowed to range over to the joining places 9a, 9a at the two ends of the intersecting part 6.</p> |
