PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printer in which a power supply battery is turned on/off appropriately through small structure. SOLUTION: The ink jet printer 1 comprises a sheet cartridge 2 containing a larger number of sheets 3, a belt 5 for feeding the sheet 3 to a carry roller 12, a roller 6 for driving the belt counterclockwise, a driven roller 7 and a member 8 for preventing entrained carriage of sheet, guide plates 9, 11, 14 for sheet, the carry roller 12 and a carry roll 13 for carrying the sheet 3 intermittently, an ink jet head 15 for printing on the sheet 3, and a roller 16 and a roll 17 for discharging a printed sheet 3 from a sheet discharge port 18 to the outside. When a liquid ink cartridge 19 for supplying ink to the ink jet head 15 is mounted from a mounting port 21 to a cartridge receiving section 22 or demounted therefrom, an engaging part 19-1 depresses or releases the switching button 23-1 of a power switch 23 to turn power supply on/off. |
