PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain good operability by giving a covering to the part near the leading end of an operating wire to increase its strength to resist bulging in an accessory for an endoscope where the operating wire made of a stranded wire is inserted into a flexible sheath made of a tightly-wrapped coil tube. SOLUTION: In the distal end of a biopsy forcep for an endoscope, an operating wire 12 made of a stranded wire is inserted axially fully into a flexible sheath 11 made of a tightly-wrapped coil pipe, and can be advanced and withdrawn from an operating section. The leading end of the operating wire 12 is connected and fixed to a linking mechanism 16 to open and close a pair of tip caps 14 pivoted to a supporting cylinder 15 mounted on the leading end of the operating wire 12. The part near the leading end of the operating wire 12 is given metal plating 12c, thereby suppressing bulging of the leading end of the operating wore 12 by the plating 12c and controlling a malfunction due to unwinding of the stranded wire even if the operating wire is forced into the flexible sheath 11. |
