PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a higher-order structure of an RNA from a result obtained by detecting a sequence B1 B2 in which a probe P1 of a sequence B1 complementary with A1 in a specific sequence A1 A2 of the RNA and a probe P2 of a sequence complementary with A2 are successively hybridized. SOLUTION: A higher-order stricture of an RNA is detected by detecting a successive base sequence B1 B2 formed on the said RNA by successively hybridizing P1 with P2 by reacting a probe P1 having a base sequence B1 capable of hybridizing with A1 out of a specific succeeding base sequence A1 A2 in the RNA with a probe P2 having a base sequence B2 capable of hybridizing with A2 out of the specific succeeding base sequence in the RNA, and judging that the higher-order structure of the specific succeeding base sequence A1 A2 is a single-stranded when the said successive base sequence B1 B2 is detected and the higher-order structure of the specific successive base sequence A1 A2 is a double-stranded when the said successive base sequence B1 B2 is not detected. |
