PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage adjuster which can cope with both relatively slow voltage fluctuation and relatively quick voltage fluctuation. SOLUTION: This voltage adjuster is provided with a tap switching system of a voltage adjuster 11 which is equipped with an adjusting transformer 13, fitted with a tap and a tap controller 15 for controlling the tap switching and a steady voltage adjuster 12. The steady voltage adjuster 12 is provided with a power converter 18, which converts the voltage obtained from the side of distribution line into adjusted voltage, a series transformer 16 which transformer the adjusted voltage and superposes it on the output voltage of the voltage adjuster 11, and a power converter controller 19 which controls the power converter 18 so as to obtain the required adjusted voltage for bringing the line voltage close to a target value. The tap controller 15 is so constituted as to generate a tap switching command, when the time integrated value of the output voltage of the power converter 18 exceeds the deciding level. |
