This device is characterised by the fact that it comprises a light-guide (40) having an entrant end (42) coupled to a laser (10) and an exit end (44) which is immersed in a liquid (32); this exit end is held opposite the workpiece to be treated and at a distance h from the latter which can be adjusted independently from the total water height.
