PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain front/rear discrimination of a multi-layer polarizing film with high reliability and productivity. SOLUTION: In this film front/rear discrimination method, two polarizing lens having polarizing axes in the same direction as the polarizing axes of two polarizers on a front film are arranged at the upper and lower parts of the film (S11), and the film is irradiated with a light through the lens (S12). Then, the quantity of a light transmitted through the two polarizing lenses and the film is measured (S13). The directions of the polarizing axes of the front film and the back film are made different, and the measured quantity in the S13 is made different. Therefore, film front/rear discrimination can be attained based on the measured quantity (S14). |
