PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the user to select an electronic program guide EPG that is displayed on a monitor as required. SOLUTION: The user operates a remote controller to revise a display form of an EPG displayed on an entire screen of a monitor. Only information corresponding to 4 channels that is a half the entire channels of the EPG shown in figure is displayed or information corresponding to 12 channels that is number of channels being a multiple of 1.5 of number of the entire channels of the EPG in figure is displayed on the monitor, for example, by operating the remote controller.
