PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce all messages not hearing other messages of other callers inbetween even in the case that all the messages are reproduced in the recorded sequence. SOLUTION: Upon the receipt of incoming calls by the telephone set 10 provided with automatic answering function, caller numbers received by a caller number reception section 12 are stored in a caller number storage area of a storage section 16 in the order of reception while a same serial number is given to a same caller number and recorded messages are stored in a message recording area of a message recording section 13 while the same serial number as that given to the caller number is added to the message. Thus, the recorded message is linked with the caller number, and in the case of reproducing the recording message, the caller number and number of messages are displayed on a display section 14 under the control of a control section 17 and in the case that plural messages are recorded from a same caller, the plural messages are continuously reproduced.
