PURPOSE:To obtain a new 5,6-benzo-1,4-disilacyclohexene derivative useful as a synthetic intermediate, etc., for fine chemicals such as medicines or agrochemicals. CONSTITUTION:This compound is expressed by formula I (R<1> to R<6> each is H or a lower alkyl), e.g. 1,1,4,4-tetramethyl-2-propylidene-1,3H-1,4-benzodisilyne. Furthermore, the compound expressed by formula I is obtained by reacting a compound expressed by formula II with arenes expressed by formula III (R<5> and R<6> each is H, an alkyl or an aryl) in the presence of a platinum complex having a phosphine ligand such as (eta-ethylene)bis(triphenylphosphine) platinum. |
