PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce standby power of a remote controller reception section of a device controlled by an infrared ray remote controller for a television receiver, a video tape recorder, etc. SOLUTION: In the remote controller that operates intermittently a remote controller light receiving section, the remote controller light receiving element is driven by a pulse produced at a prescribed interval and when the remote controller light receiving section receives continuously a prescribed number of pulses, the light receiving section activates a remote controller code analysis section. Furthermore, a remote controller transmitter generates an IR signal in response to signal at a prescribed interval for a prescribed period before sending a specific code (power ON code or the like). |
