The structure provides a thin and light sealing composite coating suitable for the sealing of art works and for the repair of roadway joints or damaged coatings. A new composite material for roadwork and particularly for art work, for the repair of roadways and damaged coatings. It comprises a layer of polymerizable resin coated on to the roughened surface of a bitumen layer. Independent claims are also included for the preparation of the composite and its uses.
