PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an antireflection member having an antireflection film which can efficiently prevent diffusion of visible rays with good productivity. SOLUTION: This antireflection film is an antireflection coating layer on a substrate, and pores having <=100 nm average pore diameter are formed in the coating layer with the porosity substantially and continuously increasing from the interface with the substrate to the interface with air. This antireflection film is obtd. by applying coating liquids in stepwise varied ratios of inorg. fine particles (P) to a water-soluble resin (B) on a substrate to form layers. Especially, it is effective to apply coating liquids in different ratios of silica fine particles to polyvinylalcohol at one time into layers so as to dissolve the coating layers with each other on the interface.
