TONER FOR DEVELOPING ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE AND HEAT FIXING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart favorable thermal characteristics to toner and to obtain 7 toner excellent in low temp. fixability and anti-offsetting property by incorporating a specified hydrocarbon wax. SOLUTION: The toner for developing an electrostatic charge image contains a hydrocarbon wax. On the DSC curve of the wax measured with a differential scanning calorimeter, the onset temp. of heat absorption is in the range of 50-110 deg.C, at least one heat absorption peak P1 at the time of temp. rise is present in the range of 70-130 deg.C and the max. heat generation peak at the time of temp. drop is present in the range of (the peak temp. of the peak P1 )±9 deg.C. The hydrocarbon wax is synthesized by a method other than the polymn. of an alkylene and the wax is contained by 0.5-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. bonding resin. The wax may be used in combination with other waxes if no harmful effect is produced.
