PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OTDR device, which is able to cancel the distance corresponding to a light band, when an optical pulse transmits in an optical fiber line and distance broadening that is caused by a characteristic, etc., of a signal reproduction frequency band of a receiving circuit. SOLUTION: Light-emitting pulse width and a measurement distance which are measurement conditions at the time of performing an optical pulse test of an optical fiber line passage that is an object to be measured are set (step S1). A reproduction response waveform of an optical pulse under the conditions set in the step S1 is decided as a pulse response waveform in accordance with a light-emitting pulse waveform for measurement that is emitted by an OTDR device, a signal reproduction frequency band of a receiving circuit in the device, etc., (step S2). A waveform for time rate of change for light intensity of return light, that is obtained by performing an optical pulse test under the conditions set in the step S1, is inputted (step S3). Such a waveform that has the distance broadening canceled is produced by making the pulse response waveform of the step S2 and a measured pulse of the step S3 numerics respectively and performing a prescribed matrix operation (step S4). |
