<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a mechanical switch and to increase the lifetime of a mouse by preparing a spherical mouse for a cordless mouse input device and using an entire spherical body of the mouse as a reading electrode. SOLUTION: It's decided that the optical sensor switches 13 and 14 are pushed (turned on) when the hole of a spherical mouse 8 is covered. Then the coordinate detection occurrence OSC1 9 showing the switch pushed positions is added to the coordinate detection frequency OSC2 10 corresponding to the switch pushing or the coordinate detection frequency OSC3 11 at a frequency addition part 12, and the signals are transmitted to a frequency detection electrode 15 covering the entire mouse 8 which is connected to the part 12. A mouse pad detects the signals and decides that the switches 13 and 14 are pushed via a control program which is stored in a ROM to perform the internal control of the mouse pad. Then the mouse pads transfers the position coordinates and also the switch ON information to its connected computer.</p> |
