PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a telephone set to record a message from other line even when one line is used for a speech in the telephone set capable of being connected to two telephone lines. SOLUTION: This telephone set 1 consists of a 1st incoming call detection section 2 that detects an incoming call from a line 1, a 1st hook control section 3 that controls on/off-hook to the line 1, a 2nd incoming call detection section 4 that detects an incoming call from a line 2, a 2nd hook control section 5 that controls on/off-hook to the line 2, a channel changeover section 6 that connects the line 1 or 2 to a receiver 8, a recording memory section 10 that records/reproduces a voice signal, a recording line changeover section 9 that connects the line 1 or 2 to the recording memory section 10, and a main control section 11. The main control section 11 connects other line to the recording memory section 10 to allow the recording memory section 10 to record a message when the other line receives an incoming call while the one line is busy.
