PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically vary reception sound volume as a user intends by controlling the volume of the sound outputted by a loudspeaker according to the voice level that the user has inputted. SOLUTION: A voice inputted from a microphone 1 has its voice level detected by a level detection part 2, and momentary voice levels sampled at predetermined time intervals are averaged by a processing part 4 and outputted as a means voice level. The mean voice level right after the call starts is saved as a reference amplitude level in a storage part 6. During the speech, voice levels inputted from the microphone at the predetermined time intervals are compared by a comparison part 5 with the reference level and when a microphone-inputted voice level is larger, a control part 7 increases the volume of the voice outputted from the loudspeaker 11. When the microphone-inputted voice level is smaller, the control part 7 decreases the volume of the voice outputted from the loudspeaker 11.
