PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain functions of a photoelectric transducer and an electroluminescence element, by using phenazinone derivative which has absorption in a visible wavelength region and is shown by specified formulas I, II. SOLUTION: A phenazinone derivative is shown by formula I and has absorption in a visible region. In formula I, R is an aryl group in which substituent may be contained or a hetero aryl group. The phenazinone derivative is also 10-benzil-2(10H)-phenazinone derivative which has absorption in a visible light wavelength region and is shown by a formula II. In formula II, at least one out of substituents R1 , R2 , R3 , R4 and R5 is an electron attracting group. As a result, function as a photoelectric transducer which separates effectively electric charges excited by light and carries effectively the separated electrons and holes in mutually opposite directions is realized. Electric charges injected by applying a voltage are re-combined with opposite electric charges and emit light while moving in a bulk along the potential gradient of a barrier, thereby, abtaining function as an electroluminescent element. |
