<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the abrasion loss also partial abrasion loss of a pad without damage to a disk, the generation of harsh noise, and the increase of a cost. SOLUTION: This device has: a motor 33, a conversion mechanism part 34 for converting the rotation movement of the motor 33 into the rectlinear movement of a piston 40, a position detecting means 57 for detecting the stroke position of the piston 40, and a control means for controlling the motor 33 based on the detected result of the means 57; and presses pads 14 and 15 to a disk 13 by the rectilinear movement by the piston 40 to generate braking force. At that time, the control means detects the abrasion condition of the pads 14 and 15 based on the detected result by the means 57.</p> |
