PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device equipped with a coating layer for preventing the subordinate reflection film of an optical element provided on a substrate from corroding without optical interference. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a prism element 1 for reading information from an optical information medium and forming an optical path to a light receiving element by refracting and reflecting incident light from an external light emitting element while having the laminate structure of laminating plural light transmissible substrates 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8, and the optical elements of different optical system characteristics provided on the light incident surfaces of the substrates 3-8 are uniformly coated with the light transmissible coating layer having no interference with the optical system characteristics of the respective optical elements. |
