PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily display the center of a scan area in both far and near fields of view by arranging a plurality of guide light optical systems, forming the guide light generated by each guide light optical system to be irradiated on a reading object a plane shape including the optical axis of an image forming means and crossing these plane shapes of guide light with each other on the optical axis. SOLUTION: Two guide light optical systems are arranged at one of both sides and under side of an image forming lens. Guide light emitted from a guide light source 15 has a plane shape diffused in its long axis direction via cylindrical lenses 16 and 16 and forms a slender display line on a form. This display line is positioned at 90 degrees against the optical axis of an image forming optical system. Thus, each guide light which is diffused in a plane shape is included in a plane including the optical axis and also the plane shapes of guide light cross with each other at 90 degrees on the optical axis. Therefore, the display lines of guide light cross with each other in a cross in a fixed range of the optical axis and in any field of view. The intersecting point 19 of the display lines is set on the optical axis and displays the center of a scan area. |
