PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable video unit whose usability is improved during traveling at outside by making separately a portable video unit main body and a video display part and transmitting a video signal from the portable video unit body to a video display part by radio. SOLUTION: A video display part 4 is installed separately from a digital video disk layer main body 1. An infrared video signal block 4a receiving an infrared transmission signal from a video signal transmission block 2e is installed in the video display part 4. A video signal obtained by demodulating the infrared transmission signal received by the video signal reception block 4a is supplied to the display device 4c of a liquid crystal display device through a video device driver 4b and it is displayed. Thus, the digital video disk player body 1 and the video display part 4 are set separately and the video signal from the digital video disk player body 1 is transmitted to the video display part 4 by infrared rays. Consequently, the video display part 4 is made into a form irrespective of the digital video disk player body 1. |
