PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for standby power when electric equipment is not used by not supplying power when the electric equipment is not used, and by supplying control information such as power and time information when the electric equipment is used. SOLUTION: A control device 1 is connected to a television 3, a video 4, a telephone 5, and electric equipment-n 6 via an information transmission cable 2. Also, the control device 1 is connected to a CATV line 9, a telephone line 10, an antenna 11 for receiving an outside electronic wave, and an infrared communication cable 7 of an infrared light receiver 8, thus controlling the electric equipment from the outside via the control device 1, automatically controlling the electric equipment for providing information regarding disaster from the television or the like, and stopping power supply to all electric equipment to provide the information in emergency and secure safety. Also, a personal computer 12 is connected, thus sending control information for various electric equipment to the control device 1 as well as a remote controller and the telephone line 10. |
