PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grind a work having a sloped surface by means of a grindstone with high accuracy by measuring the outer diameter of a ground work by means of a sizing device and calculating the correction value of tip position of the grindstone based on the measured outer diameter of the work. SOLUTION: In a 1st working routine, a work 200 is ground according to a grinding work procedure concerning the edge face, a 1st sloped surface (R part), a cylindrical surface 240 and a 2nd sloped surface (taper part) 250. A sizing device is moved forward up to a position where the outer diameter of the work 200 can be measured with a filler kept open, and the next measuring point is set at the filter position. Then the filler is closed to hold the work 200 and the outer diameter Xi of the work 200 is measured at the measuring point. In a 2nd preparation/execution routine, the value of a shape error L that is caused in the direction of a center line (axis C) 210 is calculated based on the measurement result Xn of outer diameter of the work 200. Then the working start position of the surface 250 is shifted to the left by L compared with the 1st working routine and the 2nd working is executed. |
