PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to make a call without any feeling of incongruity even when having a voice communication. SOLUTION: While IP addresses are assigned to terminal devices Ta1 to Tan and Tb1 to Tbm at offices A and B, a multimedia domain name which has not the user names, but the telephone numbers of the terminal devices inserted into the bottom layer is given. Further, DNS(domain name system) server functions are added to the router devices Ra and Rb by intra-netowrk systems to provide a multimedia communication control function and its multimedia data base, wherein the correspondence between the multimedia domain name of the respective terminal devices and the IP addresses is stored. When a signal including the multimedia domain name arrives from a terminal device, the said signal is transferred to the terminal device having the corresponding IP address according to the multimedia data base. |
