摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medium which has high coercive force with decreased medium noise and which enables high density recording by forming a magnetic recording film with a nonmagnetic intermediate film having a hexagonal close- packed structure interposed on a base film layer on a nonmagnetic layer and constituting the magnetic recording film of plural magnetic layers and intermediate layers having a B2 structure between the magnetic layers. SOLUTION: The nonmagnetic intermediate film consists of a nonmagnetic alloy having a hexagonal close-packed structure selected from nonmagnetic CoCrTa, CoCrTaPt, CoCrW, CoCrWPt, CoCr and CoCrPt, and is formed to the thickness between >=5Åand <=100Åso as to improve the coercive force and squareness ratio. The intermediate layers formed among the magnetic layers consist of a material having a B2 structure as the crystal structure selected from NiAl, NiAlRu and NiAlNd, and the intermediate layer has the film thickness between >=5Åand <=50Åso as to decrease noise and to improve resolution for overwriting. The base film layer consists of a Cr alloy layer or a Cr alloy layer formed on a B2 structure layer formed on the nonmagnetic substrate.
