<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer having stable electrostatic charge characteristics by incorporating toner contg. a coloring material, a polyester resin, an ester wax and a metallic salt of a fatty acid. SOLUTION: The developer is an electrophotographic developer contg. toner contg. a coloring material, a polyester resin as a binder, an ester wax and a metallic salt of a fatty acid as an electrostatic charge controlling agent. Since the ester wax and the metallic salt are used in the developer contg. the polyester resin binder, the negative chargeability of the polyester resin can be reduced, a uniform distribution of the quantity of electric charges is obtd. and the electrostatic chargeability of the developer can be controlled so that the rise of the negative chargeability of the polyester resin is prevented even in service. When the developer is used, a good image is obtd.</p> |
