PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of an active matrix type liquid crystal display device in which a pixel region and a peripheral driving circuit region is integrated and to improve its productivity. CONSTITUTION: An integrated circuit 103 comprising thin film transistors is disposed in the inside (liquid crystal side) of a sealing material 102 so that the peripheral driving circuit is protected from the outside. Thereby, the reliability of the peripheral driving circuit for a long time can be improved. By forming this structure in one panel and dividing it into plural numbers by the sealing material 101, plural liquid crystal panels are formed at one time.
