The location base (1) is provided with cut-off valves (2), via which air can be sucked away, thereby tightening the block suction device (4) and/or the workpiece (5). The block suction device on its under side (6) locating on the location surface has a seal (7) surrounding at least one cut-off valve. The seal forms a closed space (8) which can be evacuated via the cut-off valve. To this space is connected a pressure control valve (49) connected to the upper side (15) of the block suction device. The pressure control valve issues in a tightening space (29) limited by a second seal (28).
