The invention relates to a protection structure comprising an external transparent plastic sheet (1) joined to an internal layer (2) of a heat-adhesive thermolaminated material characterized in that said material is not thermoreversible. It may include at least one intermediary layer (3n). Security means in the form of logos, legends, etc. can be printed with ink or toner OVI, ink or toner UV, or deposited by using reflecting pigments diffused in an agglutinating emulsion, the agglutinants being selected within the group which comprises pure collagen, acrylic derivatives, polyamides or mixtures thereof. Cuts are made in the external sheet (1), the internal layer (2), the totality of the layers (2, 3n), or in all of them (1, 2, 3n), said cuts defining curved and/or concentric and/or transversal and/or longitudinal lines; the cuts are made continuously, by means of a cylinder or asynchronously, with start and stop by means of a flat tool; covered by thin precision blades or by means of laser ray or electroerosion machine. It can be applied to identity and credit documents, passports and visas, cheques or documents in general to impede fraudulent manipulations on such documents.
