<p>A cooling control device capable of preventing such a problem that an internal combustion engine is overheated and ensuring the display of its fail-safe function, wherein a coil-shaped spring member (45) is wound on a valve stem (27) of a butterfly valve (26) for regulating the flow rate of cooling water, both ends of the spring member are engaged with pin members (27a, 27b) installed in the valve stem (27), the pin member (27a) is formed of a material fused when the temperature rises beyond a specified limit and the pin member (27a) is fused when the cooling water temperature is raised to a specified limit, thus one end part (45a) of the spring member (45) is brought in contact with an engaging pin (25a) projecting toward the valve stem (27) by a return force of the spring member so as to rotate the valve stem (27) in the opening direction of the butterfly valve (26) by a reaction, whereby the cooling water can be circulated sufficiently so as to prevent such a problem that an engine is overheated.</p> |
