The invention relates to a device (30) for introducing receptacles (1) into and/or removing receptacles from a treatment area, comprising at least one rotating sluice wheel (4) with peripheral sluice chambers (3) open towards the outside. Said sluice wheel is provided with grippers (6) that can be directly actuated by the receptacles themselves or indirectly actuated by a control device (5), whereby the receptacles (1) are temporarily fixed in the sluice chambers (3), preferably suspended without any ground support and without any contact with the walls of the chamber. This system enables a very large number of receptacles which could otherwise tip over to be conveyed effectively without any damage thereto.
