The system consists of a spring (1) and a damping device (3) arranged in the direction of the axis of movement which are, in at least one area, in frictional contact and are therefore close to one another. The contact area and the friction varies in relation to the movement. The spring and damping device are arranged so that in one section they are stationary with respect to one another.
