<p>A device for measuring the concentration of an absorbing component of a scattering/absorbing body, comprising a light source (2) for emitting light having two or more predetermined wavelengths and mutually different transfer scattering coefficients with respect to a scattering/absorbing body (20) to be measured, the ratio between the transfer scattering coefficients being known; light directing means (6) for directing light from a light directing position to the scattering/absorbing body (20); optical sensing means (12, 13) for sensing light propagated through inside the scattering/absorbing body (20) at one or more light sensing positions different from the light directing position so as to acquire one or more light sensing signals; parameter measuring means (15) for measuring the intensity and average travel distance of the light at each light sensing position based on the light sensing signals; and calculating means (16) for calculating the concentration of an absorbing component according to a predetermined relationship among the ratio between the transfer scattering coefficients, intensity, average travel distance, and difference between the absorbing coefficients per unit concentration of the absorbing components for the light.</p> |
