The invention concerns a multi-cylinder piston pump (10) which includes a cam (18) rotatable about an axis and a series of pumping pistons (30) which reciprocate in cylinders (28) which are spaced apart about the cam axis. The cam (18) includes a peripheral, waviform formation (24) which engages the pistons (30) to cause them to reciprocate in their cylinders (28) when the cam (18) rotates.
