The system has cables (phase and neutral cables) leading to at least one load (13), whereby the phase cable contains an on-off switch (14). A switching module (150 associated with the load automatically switches the load off after a predefined period following switching on of the on-off switch. The load can be further switched on and off via the on-off switch with the switching module activated.
