The invention concerns an electrical actuator for a seat with reclinable bac k wherein irreversibility (or the kinematics locking) and efficiency are independent of each other, the efficiency being provided by a reduction spur gear (8) and irreversibility by a current outage lock (7), connected in parallel on an electric motor (5), and powered by the same control device (9 ) as the motor.
