The instrument has a reel (10) with an upper (11) and a lower central cylinder (12) and a crossed-coil type unit (40), arranged around the reel. A shaft (50) is located coaxially and rotationally by the upper and lower cylinders. The upper cylinder has an upper bearing (11a), which is level with the top surface of the crossed-coil unit. The lower cylinder has a lower bearing (12a), extending through a cup-shaped magnetic screening casing (20). The lower bearing is on the rear side of the screening casing.
