摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs by using whole fuel flow to lubricate and cool a high pressure pump and decreasing the number of required parts. SOLUTION: A high pressure pump for fuel supply in a fuel injector of an internal combustion chamber, specifically, a common rail injection mechanism, is provided with a tank 1, a spare feed pump 3 and a high pressure pump 6. The fuel injector is of the type having the spare feed pump 3 admitting the whole fuel flow 2 from the tank 1. The whole fuel flow 2 is divided into a lubricant flow guided for lubrication through the high pressure pump and a supply flow brought into loaded condition under high pressure by the high pressure pump and supplied to one common distributor. The whole fuel flows 2, 14 are guided for lubrication through the high pressure pump 6. The high pressure pump 6 has a metering unit 20 therein, which is useful for loading pre-selected feed flow 10 is only brought into loaded condition under high pressure within the high pressure pump 6 for the whole fuel flow 14.
