摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the strength of a connector, miniaturize the connector and improve its connection reliability by forming a stress receiving part and a soldering part of a connector contact on the side opposite to the contact point of the contact, installing an insulating member at the upper part of the stress receiving part, and changing the direction of the force which the connector receives from the pulling direction to the compressing direction. SOLUTION: The shape of a contact 5 of a female contact 3 is so formed that its contact point side 5c and its soldering part 5b are formed on the sides horizontally opposite to each other, and a claw 5a is formed on the lead 5b side when viewed from the center of the connector. A facing contact 5' is formed into a shape symmetrical with respect to the contact 5, and the insertion of a male connector 2 produces force, as the reactive force to the contact pressure, to act on the contact 5 in the direction to push out the contact point 5c outside. The claw 5a bears most of the force and an insulator bottom 3c receives compression force from the left and right directions but the compression is larger than the tensile, so that the thickness can be made small. Thereby, the strength can be increased and the miniaturization can be realized by reducing the height.
