An apparatus for inspecting defects of sealing parts on a funnel where a neck tube and an anode button is adhered and a method thereof is disclosed. The funnel having the sealing parts is moved into an inspecting chamber by a conveyor, and a driving means operates to precisely place the funnel at an inspecting position. Furthermore, a light emitting means irradiating a light toward the funnel is placed at one side of the conveyor, and an analytic means for receiving and analyzing a refracted light penetrating the funnel is placed facing the light emitting means. Accordingly, due to the inspecting apparatus, the ratio of inferior end-product of the cathode ray tube is reduced. Since only a few personnel for the whole inspection are required, the cost is also reduced. |
