After heating the films are cooled to a temperature below the softening point and the tool (1) is opened. The films adhering to the heater are once again subjected to a heat impulse to raise their surface temperature above the softening point and can then be easily pulled away from the heater. An Independent claim is made for the process tool which has two supports (2,3), at least one of which has a heater which contacts the films during the heating and processing of the films in the closure position of the supports. Preferred Features: Film cooling is intensive. Clamping plates (8,9) aid separation of the films from the heater during tool opening. The point at which the films are separated from the heater is selected to ensure there is no plastic film deformation. Both heat impulses raise the films to the same temperature. |
