Reduction of noxious petrol and diesel engine exhaust gas emissions

摘要

Reduction of noxious piston engine exhaust gas emissions is effected by energy input to convert nitrogen oxide and oxygen into reactive gas components for reaction in a downstream pollutant retention system. Reduction of noxious emissions in piston engine exhaust gases is carried out by input of energy to convert the NO and O2 contents of the exhaust gas into reactive gas components in the form of nitrogen dioxide, atomic oxygen, ozone and OH, the reactive gas components being reacted in a downstream pollutant retention system.
