A scanning area is designed as a matrix of scanning values. This matrix has a preset number (n) of columns (S1, ..., Sn) and a number (m) of lines (Z1, ..., Zm). The scanning values can correspond to the intensity of a particular color. Other combinations of physical measurements can also be used. A line vector (ZV) is generated and analyzed to match a specimen. An Independent claim is included for a circuit arrangement for carrying out the method. |
