The connector for sections (4A, 4B) of a rod between vertebral anchoring elements has a shock absorber (7) formed by a cage (8) and an axle (4Ba). The axle is fitted inside the cage and equipped with elastically deformable elements (7A) acting in opposite directions to apply a traction or compression force. The cage and axle are able to pivot relative to one another in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the connector by up to four degrees, the angle being limited by an angular stop (10). |
